2.20.2011: day 360

A nice afternoon cup o' tea brewing in the mug my brother gave me for Christmas.

2.19.2011: day 359

I, for whatever reason, am incapable of playing pool.
Even the lights over the pool tables mock me. Hee.

2.18.2011: day 358

Sometimes I wonder what it's like to live in a nest.
I wonder if the birds get cold and if it feels like living on a trampoline or if they get sea sick when the wind kicks up.

2.13.2011: day 353

Architectural detail from a building across from Washington Square Park.

2.12.2011: day 352

We were walking around in Soho and NoLita and stopped to oggle the strangeness of designer pet bassinets and clothes in a store window. (Who wouldn't want to rock Fluff (wearing embroidered puppy pjs) to sleep in a little pink and white bassinet??)
When we turned around to cross the street, we saw this goofy baby doll strapped to the side mirror of the road workers' truck at the curb. Colliding worlds....

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No! It's Balloon Man!
Later on, a balloon delivery guy left the subway just ahead of us. He navigated the streets pretty well.

2.11.2011: day 351

Today, I went to the American Folk Art Museum and saw more amazing work. I also liked this bottlecap snake and the little wooden witch. Dn da nt da nn da...dn da nt da nn da...

2.10.2011: day 350

I went to The Met today. I've liked Ancient Egyptian things since I was a kid.
It was nice to see some again.

And this is a self-portrait in an Anish Kapoor piece.
I also went to see the Charles LeDray exhibition at the Whitney. Amazing.

2.9.2011: day 349

Bright Lights, Big City.
(The outside of Bloomingdale's in Midtown Manhattan.)
I'm off to New York for a few days.

2.8.2011: day 348
