11.29.2010: day 276

A couple of apples hanging out.
(What's with finding random fruit at work? Entertaining, at least, and reminds me of Gabriel Orozco.)

11.28.2010: day 275

Someone added bubbles to the fountain near the movie theater...
They look a lot like cloud formations.

11.27.2010: day 274

In late afternoon, I took a little jaunt through CW again, enjoying the festive decorations.

11.26.2010: day 273

Turbulent afternoon sky.

And then I went for a walk down to CW. The sky was still amazing (although not exactly purple- I was photographing with my phone- lovely colors, though!) I also passed some folks hanging around a campfire, waiting for dinner at one of the taverns.

11.25.2010: day 272

Thanksgiving Day. Yum.
The kids made a little clothing road. I enjoyed the zigzags. They made sense.

11.24.2010: day 271

A little solarized closeup of the embroidery I did today. I might give the dark fabric/light thread a try. Nice contrast.

11.23.2010: day 270

Another fall beauty.

11.22.2010: day 269

Full moon tonight.
(One time when I enjoy the limitations of my camera. Moody and evocative.)

11.21.2010: day 268

My grandma's yellow pot has been neglected for awhile. But, it's soup season again. For many years, it has been my soup and popcorn pot. Every time I use it, I think of her. She used it a long time, too, although I'm not sure she ever made Thai sweet potato soup... But, I know she's happy I'm putting the  ol' yellow pot to good use. Thanks Grandma!

(The purple sweet potato I used in my soup.)

11.20.2010: day 267

Paint(ed) brushes.

11.19.2010: day 266

Mailed a package today with a little bit o' home on it. Warm fuzzies.

11.12.2010: day 260

It is nearly the middle of November, and I have found blooming flowers. How about that.

11.11.2010: day 259

Today is brought to you by the color RED.

Red tree.
(Looking rather surreal.)

Red spider.
(Looking rather sinister, but succinct, as he checked out a student sculpture.
It's like I walked into a mini stand off.)

11.10.2010: day 258

I found a little abandoned flower/cloud house one day, and brought it home. It has found a temporary home. (Thanks Chad Andrews! It brightens my day.)

11.9.2010: day 257

Another lovely evening. The color of the sky was amazing.
The lights below are illuminating the parking lot. (Not as idyllic or beautiful in real life, but they turned a somewhat ordinary moon/sky photo into something with a little more spunk. Just the way I like it.)

11.8.2010: day 256

This was a gigantic hole in the parking lot drive. I put my car in park and hopped out while at the stop sign. I only had time to take this single photo before other cars were waiting.

11.7.2010: day 255

A few handy utensils... handy... get it? Hee.

11.6.2010: day 254

Click, click, click...

11.5.2010: day 253

Today, I did a little presentation on different ways to hang work.
Here's a quick example of a set of cleats.

It's how Dan Bare's piece above is hung. (The image is a detail.)

11.4.2010: day 252

Anna Metcalfe came to do a workshop today. Voluminous press-molded forms. Lovely.

11.3.2010: day 251

Lutto investment.
All of a sudden this morning, I looked at this investment and it reminded me of basalt.
I appreciate the unexpectedness.

Here's a photo of basalt:
