1.20.2010: day 329

Lost and found.

1.19.2011: day 328

A little late-night reading. As I was reading this part, I thought- hey that's what I used to tell my drawing students! Let go of your assumptions about what an apple or a tree or a face looks like, and just observe. Find the positive and negative spaces, and the light and shadow, and where things meet, and the draw them. (By the way, the book is People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks.)

1.18.2011: day 327

1.15.2011: day 324

I spent all day embroidering drawings in this sketchbook for the Art House Co-op's Sketchbook Project, coming to a city near you! This is the front cover. The title is: ...you'd be home by now...

Radiating.

1.11.2011: day 320

I went over to my aunt and uncle's for a bit this afternoon. We chatted for awhile in Annie's studio and then made a few quick monotypes. Above are some of her paintings. Below is one of the monotypes I made.

1.10.2011: day 319

I found the gumball stash!

1.6.2011: day 315

Peacocks (and chandeliers) at the Thai restaurant this evening.
(For some strange reason that makes me think of "Cocktails and Dreams" from that old Tom Cruise/Elizabeth Shue movie: Cocktail. Hee. Wasn't that what they named their bar in the end?)

1.5.2011: day 314

Sunny above, cloudy below. But, I liked the spray of frost on the window.

1.4.2011: day 313

The last 30 seconds of the game. 0-0. Caps lost in overtime.
