12.28.2010: day 306

Snow tracks and shadows around 4pm.
I haven't been outside in four days! Chilly, but it felt good to take a jaunt around the yard.

12.27.2010: day 305

12.26.2010: day 304

The Santa Claus Council convenes to discuss the Big Day.
(My dad carved them.)

12.25.2010: day 303

No photo from today. (Feeling rather unwell.)
But, here's another of the Christmas tree lights.
I hope everyone had a lovely day!

12.24.2010: day 302

"My cousin is my best friend!" they both said.
Even after...

But, excellent day getting together with family! I look forward to seeing the rest soon!

12.23.2010: day 301

Christmas lights and a blue ornament.

12.16.2010: day 294

Snow day. Hee.

12.15.2010: day 293

A very long, chilly day.
It was nice to come home and curl up with some tea and Grandma's afghan.

12.14.2010: day 292

My little Christmas has arrived! Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown!

12.13.2010: day 291

I was surprised to step outside and see snow this morning. It was a nice, cheery little dusting. And, then it melted.

12.12.2010: day 290

Everyday detritus. A good-sized pile o' magazines in my livingroom.
They propagate with surprising speed!

12.11.2010: day 289

A quick drive to North Carolina. Grey morning.

A little later, a minivan passed me with a gigantic load of stuff strapped to the roof. I felt like I was in National Lampoon's Vacation or The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. I laughed out loud and was glad I wasn't squashed into that packed car (probably because it brought back a few, long, cramped family trips, which, I have to say, we did survive.)

12.10.2010: day 288

A neat little table detail.
It was a Mexican night- some chips, a lot of guacamole, and some carne asada. Mmm.

12.09.2010: day 287

A no breakfast morning.

 And a laundry-filled evening.

12.08.2010: day 286

Evening arrives at the parking lot.

12.06.2010: day 284

Reaching for my carrot...

 And...the carrot!
(White bronze.)

12.05.2010: day 283

(I forgot to take a photo on Sunday. Shame on me.)
But, I wanted to share this most excellent festive fluff. (Of course this reminds me of my youngest sis. She loves pink.) We saw it on the way to dinner at an amazing little Chinese restaurant. Dinner was a whole other story. The Ma La Chicken and Veggies was amazing. I guess they use a fascinating little peppercorn. After a bite or two of dinner, your mouth tingles. Highly entertaining and extraordinarily tasty.

12.04.2010: day 282

I went to a shindig at my friend, J's, house.
These are the neat masks hanging over her mantle. Nice to see everyone!

12.01.2010: day 279

Last day of class. My students made inflatable sculptures. This is the inside of one of them.

(PSA: I just noticed I labeled 11.13 and 11.14 as day 261, so my numbers are off by at least one. Oops. So, it appears today is actually day 279. Thank you. Carry on.)

11.30.2010: day 277

A dowel forest.

Monday, November 29, 2010

11.29.2010: day 276

A couple of apples hanging out.
(What's with finding random fruit at work? Entertaining, at least, and reminds me of Gabriel Orozco.)

11.28.2010: day 275

Someone added bubbles to the fountain near the movie theater...
They look a lot like cloud formations.

11.27.2010: day 274

In late afternoon, I took a little jaunt through CW again, enjoying the festive decorations.

11.26.2010: day 273

Turbulent afternoon sky.

And then I went for a walk down to CW. The sky was still amazing (although not exactly purple- I was photographing with my phone- lovely colors, though!) I also passed some folks hanging around a campfire, waiting for dinner at one of the taverns.
